fix: :memo: Update citation information and add DOI badge (#1326)
* feat: Update citation information in CITATION.cff file
The CITATION.cff file was updated to include the preferred citation information for the software. The software should now be cited using both the article from preferred-citation and the software itself.
* feat: Add doi badge to README.md
The README.md file was updated to include a badge displaying the DOI for the software article.
