When compiling user guide and key commands from markdown to html, the english version will also create a userguide.pot containing all strings from both the user guide and key commands for translation. When compiling non-english versions, userGuide.po will be checked for and used, to translate all strings in the user guide and key commands. the changes (what's new) document also handles translations, but it is changes.pot and changes.po respectively.
